Benton First Ministry Guide

In the quarterly ministry guide, you can find many of the areas at Benton First that are looking for the right person to become involved in life-impacting ministry.  Are they looking for you?  The guide also includes a section that lists all church-wide ministries and programs.  You will quickly see that Benton First is busy doing kingdom work and there is a place for you and your loved ones.  Click here for the current ministry guide.

A great opportunity awaits you...come to the next PLACE Workshop and discover how a few important dimensions of your life can light the path for understanding where you will find true fulfillment in serving others through ministry!  In this workshop, designed for teenagers and older, you will spend time in scripture and cover the following topics:

  • Personality Type - you will learn special attributes about your personality and see why certain activities interest you.  Also, we will spend time learning about othes and how to navigate through personality conflicts.
  • Personal gifts and spiritual gifts - The Bible is clear that we are "knit together" for a purpose; and that includes excelling at certain things - what we call personal gifts.  We will explore those personal gifts as well as the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives so the church can function in power!
  • Abilities and preferences - We will spend time exploring key personal abilities and how you impact the world around you.
  • Passion in life - for people activities - This section will help you understand where is the best place for you to get involved by identifying people you love to serve and things you love to do.
  • Life's experiences - In this very personal section, you see how the "big events" in life help shape who you are at this very moment - and how those experiences can be a blessing to other!

Are you ready to make the move into ministry?  Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.  We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.  - Romans 12:4-6
